Steven Martinez, Managing Director

Mr. Martinez is a Managing Director of Aurora Resurgence. Previously, Mr. Martinez was with Goldman Sachs in their American Special Situations Group where he was building a private credit business in the western United States. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Martinez led the San Francisco office of American Capital Strategies, focusing on both middle market buyouts as well as leveraged financings. Prior to American Capital, Mr. Martinez was a Principal with H.I.G. Capital where he completed control equity investments in middle market businesses. While at both American Capital and H.I.G., Mr. Martinez served on the board of directors of numerous businesses. Mr. Martinez was previously an Associate with NationsBanc Capital Markets where he syndicated non-investment grade debt, primarily for change of control transactions.

Mr. Martinez earned a master's degree in business administration from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College where he was a Citibank Fellow and his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
